Public engagement is still relatively low on the role of consumers in the circular economy.

But ultimately, the decision lies with end users on how a product will be recycled, repaired or reused. In this EU Circular Talk, the aim is to share insights on enabling circular behaviours through digitalisation. What are the pieces missing in the puzzle in order to make circularity the rule among the overwhelming majority of consumers in Europe? How can digitalisation play a supporting role in this process, particularly considering the increasing EU focus on digital tools, such as the Digital Product Passport, supporting Apps and the role of Artificial Intelligence?

This EU Circular Talk will address the issue along following topics:

• Behavioural consumer challenges to adopt more circular behaviours and how they can be addressed
• How digitalisation can play a supporting role and what are still blind spots throughout the way
• Opportunities for different actors to use digitalization for greater consumer engagement
• Concrete cases about how digital tools have been used to support circular behaviours
