DESCRIPTION

TITLE: StartOff
CONCEPT: Enabling the public sector to describe the problem they need solved, not requiring them to pre-define the solution.

StartOff connects buyers and startups and supports them through the process

Enabling the public sector to describe the problem they need solved, not requiring them to pre-define the solution.

StartOff is a framework for carrying out startup-friendly procurements. StartOff offers guidance and project support to the client and supplier in a facilitated process.

The scheme is administered by DFØ and is carried out in collaboration with the Norwegian Directorate for Digitalisation and the Supplier Development Program.

Compared to other schemes, such as innovation contracts, innovative procurement, innovation partnerships, StartOff deals with more limited issues with shorter project lengths and smaller contract amounts. A StartOff project can result in a further acquisition, but the StartOff project itself is limited to 18 weeks of developing an MVP.
